PADIGLIONE 25

In the summer of 1975, a group of nurses from the mental hospital Santa Maria della Pietà in Rome, influenced by the new ideas of Franco Basaglia, decided to self-manage one of the pavilions of the asylum. Thus began for the 'guests' a slow and tiring work of progressive reintegration into social rules, with the aim of defining the resignation of the patients.
